About Masta Killa
Born Jamel Irief (Elgin Evander Turner) on August 18, 1969, Masta Killa is one of the iconic voices of the Wu-Tang Clan. Though initially lesser-known—featured on only one track of their groundbreaking 1993 debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)—he has since cemented his place in hip-hop history. A prolific contributor to Clan projects and solo endeavors since the mid-'90s, Masta Killa released his debut album No Said Date in 2004 to critical acclaim. Over the years, he has dropped three additional albums, each showcasing his lyrical mastery and dedication to the art of hip-hop.
