Thomas Tran is a senior from West Ottawa High School who studies under Michael Hamann and participates in the school's jazz ensembles, symphony ensembles and pit orchestra.  He has also stated his gratitude to learn from great teachers around West Michigan such as Jordan Vanhemert, Lisa Sung, Clif Metcalf, Max Colley III, and of course Michael Hamann. Thomas has performed and been recognized as an outstanding soloist at both the CMU and WMU jazz festivals. Thomas intends to continue studying music and pursue a degree in Jazz Studies and Performance at Michigan State University.
