Oliver Scott Draper(Grand Rapids)- Album Release

Oliver Scott Draper started making music in Grand Rapids 8 years ago, since then he’s released 6 full albums and 2 EPs spanning several genres. From weird folk tunes and scary pop songs, to borderline grunge or electronic. Imagine The Beatles with Ween, or if Daniel Johnston had GarageBand. Now he’s branching out and collaborating and trying to perform with a band more and more. His nearly 2 year release hiatus is almost up as his new album is set to release spring of 2024.

Lefty(Holland)

Lefty is a six-piece alt-rock/shoegaze outfit that brings dense, noise driven performances to each show they play. Based out of Saugatuck, Michigan, Lefty began practicing regularly in 2019, with founding members Eldon Garvelink, Nick Stormer, and Zach Pettinga being friends and teammates throughout grade school. They soon picked up bassist Aidan Harris, keyboardist/synth wiz Ringo Joon. friend Emily Myers on vocals. They released their first EP, Are We Having Fun Yet?, in 2021, which garnered local interest in the band and provided them with opportunities to perform live. Throughout the next two years they had to spend their summer’s practicing and performing as collectively they would be away at university for the next three seasons. In the summer of 2023, they were able to reunite to begin work on a new project, an EP consisting of four new tracks. They began ramping up their live performances too with features at The Park Theatre in Holland and by creating DIY shows in their hometown. Before the end of the year, they pick up friend and secondary keyboardist, Nathaniel Corcoran-Miller. Lefty is starting their new year on a high note, with a feature at Skelletones in Grand Rapids, and with their next EP set to release in February.
